The second edition of BIFF kicks off on October 25, and we’re celebrating with an official opening party — a collaboration between Telex After and Permanens Palazzo.
The night’s lineup features up-and-coming bands close to our hearts, DJs who keep Budapest’s nightlife alive, and a rap collective performing together in this unique formation — possibly for the first and last time.
From midnight on, the party continues across two rooms, with eclectic selections and electronic sets going strong until dawn.

Nézd meg a Locarnói és Torontói Nemzetközi Filmfesztiválon díjazott, magyar koprodukcióban készült kanadai Blue Heron (Kék gém) című filmet, majd csatlakozz a vetítés után egy vitához, amiben olyan kérdésekről vitatkozunk, mint például:
- Hogyan kezeljünk egy problémás gyereket/osztálytársat?
- Külön kell választani azt, aki nem tud viselkedni?
- Hol kezdődik a pszichés probléma?
A film részben a rendező, Sophy Romvari saját gyerekkorán alapul. Főszereplője Sasha és családja, akik az 1990-es évek végén új otthonba költöznek a Vancouver-szigetre. Az új kezdetet azonban egyre veszélyesebb események zavarják meg, amelyek a család legidősebb gyermekéhez köthetők.
A vetítés után a film rendezőjével beszélgetünk, majd ezt követően vitával zárjuk az eseményt.

While this trend is already well established internationally, local conditions do not always fully support these efforts. How can we apply the methods and tools of mental hygiene, psychology, and coaching to promote wellbeing within the constraints of the current Hungarian context?
Cine-Collegium Budapest, a committed supporter of young Hungarian filmmakers, is organizing a forum to connect stakeholders, professionals, and interested parties, and collectively create a framework for these diverse yet timely initiatives - because together, in alliance, we are stronger than alone.
The conversation will be in Hungarian.

The night’s music will be as vibrant as the setting itself: from surfy psych rock to high-energy psychedelic Eastern tunes and infectious Roma rhythms. After the concerts, Gilbert Pomelo will take over the decks, blending house, funk, and R&B — before the legendary BIFF Friends, formed by the festival team, close the night with pure party classics.

Like Sunlight Coming Through the Clouds
Müller worked with filmmakers such as Wim Wenders, Jim Jarmusch, and Lars von Trier, serving as director of photography on iconic films including Paris, Texas (1984), Down by Law (1986), and Breaking the Waves (1996).
Over the decades, he also took countless photographs, and his Polaroid works have been exhibited internationally. Depicting moments between shoots, hotel rooms, American cars, and urban settings, these images explore the properties of light and color. Through Müller’s unique vision, everyday scenes take on a poetic, lyrical atmosphere.
Opening on November 2 at the Capa Center, the exhibition is organized by BIFF in collaboration with Andrea Müller-Schirmer, founder of the Robby Müller Archive, the Annet Gelink Gallery, the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, and the Eötvös10 Cultural Centre, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The exhibition will be on view until November 30, with free admission for residents of Budapest’s 6th district (Terézváros) upon presenting proof of address.
